Abstract
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method of a first network entity in a communication network is provided. The method includes requesting, to a second network entity of a network data analytics function (NWDAF), at least one analytic for updating control information including at least one component; receiving, from the second network entity, information on the at least one analytic; and configuring the control information based on the at least one component and the received information on the at least one analytic, wherein the at least one component is mapping to the at least one analytic.
Claims16
A method for configuring a route selection policy by a policy control function (PCF) in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
- requesting, to a network data analytics function (NWDAF), at least one analytic for at least one route selection component included in the route selection policy;
- receiving, from the NWDAF, first information on the at least one analytic for the at least one route selection component and second information on spatial validity and time validity for the first information on the at least one analytic;
- and
- based on the first information on the at least one analytic and the second information on the spatial validity and the time validity, updating the route selection policy on the at least one route selection component, wherein the route selection policy includes route selection validation criteria associated with the second information on spatial validity and time validity,
- wherein the route selection validation criteria include a time window and a location criterion.
A policy control function (PCF) entity in a wireless communication system, the PCF entity comprising:
- a transmitter,
- a receiver, and
- at least one processor, coupled to the transmitter and the receiver and configured to:
- request, to a network data analytics function (NWDAF), at least one analytic for at least one route selection component included in a route selection policy,
- receive, from the NWDAF, first information on the at least one analytic for the at least one route selection component and second information on spatial validity and time validity for the first information on the at least one analytic,
- based on the first information on the at least one analytic and the second information on the spatial validity and the time validity, update the route selection policy on the at least one route selection component, wherein the route selection policy includes route selection validation criteria associated with the second information on spatial validity and time validity,
- wherein the route selection validation criteria include a time window and a location criterion.
