Abstract
A method of metrics collection and reporting in a service based architecture media streaming network, the method comprising the steps of: providing a metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to an application function using a media streaming provisioning interface, the metrics collection and reporting configuration framework defining the metrics to be collected and reported for a media session over the media streaming network.

A method of metrics collection and reporting in a service based architecture media streaming network, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing a first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to an application function using a media streaming provisioning interface;
- and
- converting the first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to a second metrics collection and reporting configuration framework, the first and second metrics collection and reporting configuration frameworks each being metrics reporting data formats defining metrics to be collected and reported for a media stream streamed over a media session over the media streaming network, wherein the second metrics collection and reporting configuration framework is:
- compatible with a media format of the media stream streamed over the media session;
- and
- different than the first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a computer program that, when loaded onto a computer, causes a computer to:
- provide a first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to an application function using a media streaming provisioning interface;
- and
- convert the first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to a second metrics collection and reporting configuration framework, the first and second metrics collection and reporting configuration frameworks each being metrics reporting data formats defining metrics to be collected and reported for a media stream streamed over a media session over the media streaming network, wherein the second metrics collection and reporting configuration framework is:
- compatible with a media format of the media stream streamed over the media session;
- different than the first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework.
An Infrastructure Equipment for metrics collection and reporting in a service based architecture media streaming network, the Infrastructure Equipment comprising:
- processor circuitry configured to provide a first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to an application function using a media streaming provisioning interface;
- wherein the processor circuitry is stored inside the infrastructure equipment, and
- wherein the processor circuitry is configured to convert the first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework to a second metrics collection and reporting configuration framework, the first and second metrics collection and reporting configuration frameworks each being metrics reporting data formats defining metrics to be collected and reported for a media stream streamed over a media session over the media streaming network, wherein the second metrics collection and reporting configuration framework is:
- compatible with a media format of the media stream streamed over the media session;
- and
- different than the first metrics collection and reporting configuration framework.
