Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of whether the UE is able to use a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining for joint channel estimation. The UE may perform the joint channel estimation based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims20
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- one or more antennas;
- and
- a processing system that includes one or more processors and one or more memories that store code for the one or more processors, the processing system configured to cause the UE to:
- receive an indication of whether the UE is able to use a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining for joint channel estimation,
- wherein a precoding of the future slot and a precoding of a current slot are the same based at least in part on the indication indicating that the UE is able to use the DMRS in the future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining;
- and perform the joint channel estimation based at least in part on the indication.

A network entity, comprising:
- one or more antennas;
- and
- a processing system that includes one or more processors and one or more memories that store code for the one or more processors, the processing system configured to cause the network entity to:
- generate an indication of whether a user equipment (UE) is able to use a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining for joint channel estimation,
- wherein a precoding of the future slot and a precoding of a current slot are the same based at least in part on the indication indicating that the UE is able to use the DMRS in the future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining;
- and transmit the indication.
3 more elements
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving an indication of whether the UE is able to use a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in a future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining for joint channel estimation,
- wherein a precoding of the future slot and a precoding of a current slot are the same based at least in part on the indication indicating that the UE is able to use the DMRS in the future slot for non-causal DMRS cross-slot combining;
- and
- performing the joint channel estimation based at least in part on the indication.
