Abstract
A method/algorithm or chip/module for establishing DI-encrypted intercommunication, comprising (i) generating IDs for use as a fingerprint of a first device/system; (ii) presenting the fingerprint as a unique authentication of the first device/system to a second device/system to be intercommunicated with; and (iii) requesting the second device/system to utilize the fingerprint as a device-dependent encryption key for creating encrypted data to be transmitted to the first device/system, so as to provide cybersecurity and cryptography protections to the DI-encrypted intercommunication.
Claims18
A DI (device identification) chip and/or module for DI-encrypted intercommunication, comprising:
- (a) input/output pins for establishing circuit connection with a host device and/or system;
- (b) microcontroller circuitry in circuit communication with said input/output pins;
- (c) persistent memory accessible to said microcontroller circuitry;
- and
- (d) an algorithm stored/embedded stored and/or embedded in said persistent memory and executable by said microcontroller circuitry, comprising:
- (i) generating device IDs (identification numbers) of said host device and/or system, as its device fingerprint;
- (ii) presenting said device fingerprint to an external device and/or system to be intercommunicated;
- (iii) requesting said external device and/or system to utilize said device fingerprint as an encryption key for encrypting data to be transmitted to said host device and/or system so as to provide said DI-encrypted intercommunication with cryptography protection;
- (iv) building a DI database comprising device fingerprints of remote devices to be controlled;
- (v) verifying if a corresponding device fingerprint of a remote device is submitted;
- and
- (vi) comparing said corresponding device fingerprint with said DI database for a match to determine if said DI-encrypted intercommunication should be granted.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing an algorithm executable by a device and/or system for proceeding with DI-encrypted intercommunication, comprising:
- at said device and/or system, in response to an incoming signal received from an external device for intercommunicating:
- (a) in accordance with a determination that a device fingerprint is not detected from said incoming signal, requesting said external device to perform internal interfacing for generating and submitting its device fingerprint in a predefined format;
- (b) in accordance with a determination that a device fingerprint in said predefined format is detected and verified, granting said DI-encrypted intercommunication;
- (c) utilizing said device fingerprint as an encryption key for encrypting data to be transmitted to said external device;
- (d) transmitting said data encrypted to said external device, wherein said data encrypted can be decrypted only by said external device with presence of said device fingerprint;
- (e) building a DI database comprising device fingerprints of remote devices to be controlled;
- (f) verifying if a corresponding device fingerprint of a remote device is submitted;
- and
- (g) comparing said corresponding device fingerprint with said DI database for a match to determine if said DI-encrypted intercommunication should be granted.
A method for establishing DI-encrypted intercommunication, comprising:
- (a) at a first digital device and/or system, generating device IDs as its device fingerprint;
- (b) at said first digital device and/or system, presenting said device fingerprint to a second digital device and/or system to be intercommunicated with;
- (c) at said second digital device and/or system, utilizing said device fingerprint as an encryption key for encrypting data to be transmitted to said first digital device and/or system;
- (d) at said first digital device and/or system, decrypting said data encrypted with said device fingerprint;
- (e) building a DI database comprising device fingerprints of remote digital devices and/or systems to be controlled by said second digital device and/or system;
- (f) at said second digital device and/or system, verifying if a corresponding device fingerprint of a remote digital device and/or system is submitted;
- and
- (g) comparing said corresponding device fingerprint with said DI database for a match to determine if said DI-encrypted intercommunication should be granted or not.
