Sub-slot based codebook construction techniques

An apparatus for wireless communication comprising at least one processor, configured to implement a method, the method comprising:

• determining, by the apparatus, a plurality of shared channels that are valid for constructing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) codebook for a first time slot, wherein the plurality of shared channels are determined based on locations of the plurality of shared channels relative to one or more second time slots;
• constructing, by the apparatus, the HARQ-ACK codebook based on the plurality of shared channels for the first time slot;
• and
• transmitting, by the apparatus, the HARQ-ACK codebook;
• wherein the plurality of shared channels include only one or more remaining shared channels remaining after removing a shared channel that has a last symbol in time domain that is not overlapped with the one or more second time slots, and
• wherein, in response to HARQ-ACK information being disabled for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception, a NACK is provided in the HARQ-ACK codebook for the PDSCH reception.

A wireless communication method, comprising:

• determining, by a network node, a plurality of shared channels that are valid for constructing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) codebook for a first time slot, wherein the plurality of shared channels are determined based on locations of the plurality of shared channels relative to one or more second time slots;
• and
• receiving, by the network node, the HARQ-ACK codebook;
• wherein the HARQ-ACK codebook is constructed based on the plurality of shared channels for the first time slot;
• wherein the plurality of shared channels include only one or more remaining shared channels remaining after removing a shared channel that has a last symbol in time domain that is not overlapped with the one or more second time slots, and
• wherein, in response to HARQ-ACK information being disabled by the network node for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception, receiving a NACK in the HARQ-ACK codebook for the PDSCH reception.
