Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for dynamic antenna module combining. An example method for wireless communications by an apparatus includes sending a request to enable antenna module combining for communications; and communicating with a network entity via a first type of antenna module and a second type of antenna module with the antenna module combining enabled.

An apparatus configured for wireless communications, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors being configured to cause the apparatus to:
- send, to a network entity, a request to enable antenna module combining for communications;
- send, to the network entity, an indication of a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states to be used for the antenna module combining;
- and
- communicate with the network entity via a first type of antenna module and a second type of antenna module with the antenna module combining enabled.
