Display device and display driving method

A display device, comprising:

• a display panel including a first subpixel group in a first display area and a second subpixel group in a second display area on a silicon substrate, the first subpixel group having different structures from the second subpixel group;
• a gate driving circuit configured to supply a gate signal to the display panel;
• a data driving circuit configured to supply a data voltage to the display panel;
• and
• a timing controller configured to control the gate driving circuit and the data driving circuit and sense a characteristic value of a driving transistor included in the first subpixel group through a reference voltage line,
• wherein the first display area is an area of the display panel adjacent to the data driving circuit, and a first driving transistor included in each subpixel of the first subpixel group is electrically connected to the reference voltage line through a sensing transistor, and
• wherein the second display area is an area of the display panel farther from the data driving circuit than the first display area in a plan view of the display device, and a second driving transistor included in each subpixel of the second subpixel group is not electrically connected to the reference voltage line.
