Abstract
An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display is disclosed. In one aspect, the OLED display includes a lower substrate including a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area, wherein a plurality of pixels are formed in the display area. The OLED display also includes an embedded circuit formed in the configured to apply a plurality of signals to the pixels, and an initialization wiring formed in the non-display area and configured to apply an initialization voltage to each of the pixels. The initialization circuit is formed in a layer so as to at least partially overlap with the area of the embedded circuit.
Claims23
A display apparatus, comprising:
- a substrate comprising a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area;
- a pixel disposed in the display area, the pixel comprising:
- a light-emitting diode;
- and
- a pixel circuit configured to drive the light-emitting diode and comprising a first thin film transistor, a first electrode of the first thin film transistor being electrically connected to the light-emitting diode;
- a first wiring disposed in the non-display area, the first wiring electrically connected to a gate electrode of the first thin film transistor;
- and
- an embedded circuit unit disposed in the non-display area and transmitting at least one signal to the pixel circuit,
- wherein the first wiring overlaps the embedded circuit unit in a plan view.
A display apparatus, comprising:
- a display area;
- a first non-display area outside the display area;
- a second non-display area disposed opposite to the first non-display area with respect to the display area;
- at least one pixel disposed in the display area, the at least one pixel comprising:
- a light-emitting diode;
- and
- a pixel circuit configured to drive the light-emitting diode and comprising a first thin film transistor, a first electrode of the first thin film transistor being electrically connected to the light-emitting diode;
- a first wiring disposed in the first non-display area;
- a second wiring disposed in the second non-display area;
- a first embedded circuit unit disposed in the first non-display area;
- and
- a second embedded circuit unit disposed in the second non-display area,
- wherein
- the first wiring and the second wiring are electrically connected to a gate electrode of the first thin film transistor included in the at least one pixel,
- the first embedded circuit unit and the second embedded circuit unit transmit at least one signal to the pixel circuit included in the at least one pixel,
- the first wiring overlaps the first embedded circuit unit in the first non-display area in a plan view, and
- the second wiring overlaps the second embedded circuit unit in the second non-display area in the plan view.
