Abstract
A method of monitoring a user performing a handwashing procedure, including: recognizing a user based upon biometric information obtained at a handwashing station, a user; detecting use of a component of the handwashing station; capturing image data of the user at the handwashing station; capturing data describing components and consumables used at the handwashing station; analyzing, using a processor, the image data; determining compliance with a handwashing procedure based at least in part on the analysis of the image data and the use of the component; and communicating compliance information.
Claims24
A system for monitoring compliance with an operational process, comprising:
- a sensor configured to sense data pertaining to actions of a human actor;
- an indicator including at least one of a display or an audio system;
- and
- an analytics platform including a processor storing instructions thereon that, when executed, cause the analytics platform to perform operations including:
- determining an identity of the human actor based on an identifier in the data from the sensor;
- determining locations of the human actor in a space, the locations including a previous location of the human actor in the space and a current location of the human actor in the space;
- retrieving the operational process to be performed by the human actor using both the identity of the human actor and at least one of the locations of the human actor in the space;
- determining, based on the operational process and the identity of the human actor, a compliance step of the operational process, the compliance step dynamically determined based on the locations of the human actor, wherein at least one of the locations of the human actor is determined using a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or a near field communication device;
- processing the data from the sensor during performance of the operational process to determine a degree of compliance;
- and
- sending a signal related to a feedback to the indicator based on the degree of compliance, the indicator configured to update an output of the indicator in response to the signal, the output including at least one of a visual notification via the display or an audio notification via the audio system;
- wherein, in response to the degree of compliance being above a threshold, at least one of:
- (i) the analytics platform is configured to send a control signal to a portion of the system to allow the human actor to perform at least one additional step of the operational process or (ii) the indicator is configured to provide the output to indicate instructions on the at least one additional step of the operational process.
A method of monitoring compliance with an operational process, comprising:
- capturing a video of a space using a sensor, wherein a person in the space performs actions during the capturing of the video;
- retrieving, by a processor, the operational process;
- comparing, by the processor, the actions in the video to a first step of the operational process to determine a degree of compliance, the first step of the operational process dynamically determined based on locations of the person, wherein at least one of the locations of the person is determined using a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or a near field communication device;
- sending, by the processor, a signal related to a feedback to an indicator based on the degree of compliance, the indicator including at least one of a display or an audio system;
- updating, by the indicator and in response to the signal, an output of the indicator, the output including at least one of a visual notification via the display or an audio notification via the audio system;
- in response to compliance with the first step of the operational process, at least one of sending, by the processor, a control signal to grant access to a physical space or providing the output of the indicator to indicate allowing a second step of the operational process to be performed;
- and
- in response to noncompliance with the first step of the operational process, at least one of sending, by the processor, a second control signal to deny access to the physical space or providing the output of the indicator to indicate preventing the second step of the operational process from being performed.
A system for monitoring compliance with an operational process, comprising:
- memory configured to store the operational process including a plurality of steps to be performed in a predefined sequence in a space, and further storing a listing of workers assigned to perform the operational process;
- a sensor configured to collect data on a worker in the space;
- an indicator including at least one of a display or an audio system;
- and
- an analytics platform configured to perform operations including:
- processing the data collected by the sensor to determine an identity of the worker and locations of the worker in the space, the locations including a previous location of the worker and a current location of the worker;
- determining the worker is on the listing of workers assigned to perform the operational process;
- in response to the determination of the worker on the listing of workers, re-processing the data to identify failure of the worker to comply with one of the plurality of steps of the operational process;
- sending a signal related to the failure to the indicator, the indicator configured to update an output of the indicator in response to the signal, the output including at least one a visual notification via the display or an audio notification via the audio system;
- and
- in response to the re-processing, sending a control signal to a portion of the system to halt performance of additional steps of the plurality of steps of the operational process by the worker and providing the output of the indicator to the worker, the output including feedback to properly perform the one of the plurality of steps identified in the re-processing;
- wherein the halting of the performance comprises denying the worker access into a controlled access portion of the space;
- wherein at least one of the plurality of steps is dynamically determined based on the locations of the worker and at least one of the locations of the worker is determined using a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or a near field communication device.
