Maintenance system and maintenance method

A maintenance system for maintaining an object to be maintained between a maintenance company and a manufacturer, the maintenance system comprising:

• a first computer and a second computer associated with the maintenance company, wherein the first computer is a mobile terminal that includes a camera, and
• a third computer associated with the manufacturer and able to communicate with the first computer and the second computer over a network, wherein:
• a processor of the first computer is configured to receive, via the camera, operation information for a defect of the object to be maintained, which has been converted by a processor of the object to be maintained into a two-dimensional barcode and displayed on a display of the object, the two-dimensional barcode encoded with information identifying the object, an error code identifying a defect, and a state of the object when the error code is output, and, wherein the processor of the first computer is configured to transmit the two-dimensional barcode captured by the camera as the operation information to the third computer of the manufacturer,
• a processor of the third computer is configured to store the operation information in a memory associated with the third computer,
• a processor of the second computer is configured to transmit replacement request information for requesting a replacement for the object to be maintained to the third computer of the manufacturer based on a request received from the first computer, and
• the processor of the third computer is configured to approve an application for the replacement for the object to be maintained, in which the defect has occurred, when the operation information stored in the memory associated with the third computer is matched with the replacement request information received from the second computer.
