Abstract
A system for managing access to objects in a computing system. The system includes processes to allow users to request access to objects, and the automated review of such requests. The system is configured to consider a wide range of factors, including the content of the request and the object requested, information relating to the user, and metadata relating to the document, as well as user behaviours. Natural language analysis is utilised to analyse a user's request for access and the object to which access is requested.
Claims18
A computer system for a security control, comprising:
- one or more computer readable storage media storing program instruction and one or more processors which, in response to executing the program instructions, are configured to:
- receive user input requesting access to a file of the computing system, wherein the user input identifies the file and includes a natural language justification of why access is desired and a user description of content of the file for requesting access;
- perform a language analysis of the natural language justification and the file to identify a similarity score between the natural language justification based at least in part on why access is desired and the file, and a comparison of the user description and actual content of the file;
- determine whether access should be granted to the file based at least in part on the similarity score;
- and
- configure permissions for the file to enable access by a user when a determination is made to grant access.
