Systems and methods for data storage management

A method for managing a storage device, the method comprising:

• allocating, by a processor, a first memory size of a first storage device to a first computing client;
• detecting, by the processor, a first memory access request associated with first data from the first computing client;
• detecting, by the processor, a second memory access request associated with the first data;
• storing, by the processor, into a log, for the first computing client, a first memory reference for the first memory access request and a second memory reference for the second memory access request;
• identifying, by the processor, a trigger condition;
• based on identifying the trigger condition, determining, by the processor, a first miss ratio based on the first memory reference and the second memory reference in the log;
• determining, by the processor, a function associating the first miss ratio to the first memory size;
• determining, by the processor, based on the function, a second memory size of the first storage device associated to a second miss ratio lower than the first miss ratio;
• and
• allocating, by the processor, the second memory size to the first computing client.
