Abstract
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques are described herein to manage portions of program code included in a compiled program. In at least one embodiment, an application programming interface (API) call including parameters that indicate portions of program code referenced by other portions of the program code is received. In response the API call, at runtime, one or more processors are to cause a linker component of one or more compilers to indicate which portions of the program code will be performed when the compiled program is executed. The one or more compilers are to exclude other portions which are not performed from the program during compilation.
Claims32
One or more processors comprising:
- circuitry to:
- receive an application programming interface (API) call comprising one or more parameters indicating identification of one or more first portions of program code referenced by other portions of the program code;
- and
- in response to the API call, at runtime, cause a linker component of one or more compilers to exclude one or more second portions of the program code unreferenced by the other portions of the program code from a compiled program.
A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- receiving an application programming interface (API) call comprising one or more parameters indicating identification of one or more first portions of program code referenced by other portions of the program code;
- and
- in response to the API call, at runtime, causing a linker component of one or more compilers to exclude one or more second portions of the program code unreferenced by the other portions of the program code from a compiled program.
A system comprising:
- one or more circuits to:
- receive an application programming interface (API) call comprising one or more parameters indicating identification of one or more first portions of program code referenced by other portions of the program code;
- and
- in response to the API call, at runtime, cause a linker component of one or more compilers to exclude one or more second portions of the program code unreferenced by the other portions of the program code from a compiled program.
A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon a set of instructions, which if performed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- receive an application programming interface (API) call comprising one or more parameters indicating identification of one or more first portions of program code referenced by other portions of the program code;
- and
- in response to the API call, at runtime, cause a linker component of one or more compilers to exclude one or more second portions of the program code unreferenced by the other portions of the program code from a compiled program.
