Display of user interfaces based on motion

An electronic device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• memory;
• and
• one or more programs stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for performing a method comprising:
• displaying a first user interface element at a first location in a three-dimensional environment corresponding to a center of field of view of a user;
• detecting, via one or more input devices, a first movement of the electronic device that includes a change in a physical position of the electronic device, the first movement indicative of locomotive movement of a user of the electronic device;
• in response to detecting the first movement of the electronic device, positioning a first user interface element at a second location, different from the first location, in the three-dimensional environment relative to a viewpoint of the user, wherein the second location is selected, in accordance with a direction of the first movement of the electronic device, to be spatially offset from the center of the field of view of the user device or to be outside of a current field of view of the user when the first movement is detected;
• while positioning the first user interface element in the three-dimensional environment, determining second movement of the electronic device including a rotational movement of the electronic device;
• and
• in response to determining the second movement of the electronic device:
• updating the first user interface element to be positioned at a third location, different from the second location, relative to the viewpoint of the user, wherein the third location is selected in accordance with a direction of the second movement of the electronic device.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device, cause the electronic device to perform a method comprising:

• displaying a first user interface element at a first location in a three-dimensional environment corresponding to a center of field of view of a user;
• detecting, via one or more input devices, a first movement of the electronic device that includes a change in a physical position of the electronic device, the first movement indicative of locomotive movement of a user of the electronic device;
• in response to detecting the first movement of the electronic device, positioning a first user interface element at a second location, different from the first location, in the three-dimensional environment relative to a viewpoint of the user, wherein the second location is selected, in accordance with a direction of the first movement of the electronic device, to be spatially offset from the center of the field of view of the user or to be outside of a current field of view of the user when the first movement is detected;
• while positioning the first user interface element in the three-dimensional environment, determining second movement of the electronic device including a rotational movement of the electronic device;
• and
• in response to determining the second movement of the electronic device:
• updating the first user interface element to be positioned at a third, different from the second location, relative to the viewpoint of the user, wherein the third location is selected in accordance with a direction of the second movement of the electronic device.
