Abstract
A developing cartridge includes a housing, a developing roller, a gear, a memory, and a holder. The developing roller rotates about a developing shaft extending in the first direction. The memory has an electrical contact surface. The holder holds the electrical contact surface. The holder is movable with respect to the housing. The holder has a first end and a second end that is separated from the first end in the second direction. The second end and the gear are arranged in the second direction.
Claims16
A developing cartridge comprising:
- a housing configured to accommodate toner therein;
- a developing roller rotatable about a developing axis extending in a first direction;
- a gear positioned at one end of the housing in the first direction;
- a memory having an electrical contact surface positioned at the one end of the housing in the first direction;
- and
- a holder holding the electrical contact surface, the holder being movable relative to the housing, wherein:
- the holder has a first end that holds the electrical contact surface and a second end that is separated from the first end in a second direction intersecting the first direction,
- the second end of the holder and the gear are arranged in the second direction, and
- the second end of the holder and an end surface of a tooth of the gear face each other in the second direction.
