Abstract
Disclosed is a compressed-gas storage container for the pressurized storage of hydrogen gas including a wall defining a receiving area for storage of the gas. A gas-guiding device directs at least part of the gas along the inside of the wall wherein the wall acts as a heat exchanger in order to remove heat from the gas as the receiving area is being filled with the gas and to dissipate said heat to surroundings exterior to the gas storage container.
Claims19
A pressurized-gas storage container for pressurized storage of a gas, comprising:
- a wall enclosing and defining a receiving area configured to receive the gas, and
- a gas guide apparatus, configured to guide at least part of the gas along an inner side of the wall during filling of the receiving area with the gas, wherein the wall is configured as a heat exchanger to extract heat from the gas during the filling of the receiving area with the gas and to release the extracted heat to a surroundings of the pressurized-gas storage container,
- wherein the gas guide apparatus further comprises a gas guide tube which is arranged within the receiving area and is positioned coaxially with the wall defining at least one gas guide canal between the gas guide tube and the inner side of the wall,
- wherein a conical gas guide section is associated with the gas guide tube,
- wherein the conical gas guide section includes a tip positioned adjacent to an inlet nozzle and coaxially with the inlet nozzle, and
- wherein the conical gas guide section is firmly connected to the gas guide tube facing away from the tip.
A pressurized-gas storage container for pressurized storage of a gas, comprising:
- a wall enclosing and defining a receiving area configured to receive the gas, the wall comprising:
- a liner having an inner side facing the receiving area;
- a jacket surrounding the liner;
- a first wall end section;
- a second wall end section facing away from the first wall end section;
- and
- a middle axis extending from the first wall end section to the second wall end section;
- an inlet nozzle in communication with the a surroundings of the wall and the receiving area, the inlet nozzle having an end face positioned in the receiving area;
- a gas guide apparatus comprising:
- a gas guide tube arranged within the receiving area and positioned coaxially with the inner side of the liner and the middle axis;
- at least one gas guide rib connected to the gas guide tube and the inner side of the liner and extending parallel to the middle axis between the first wall end section and the second wall end section, wherein the gas guide tube, the at least one gas guide rib, and the inner side of the liner defining at least one gas guide canal;
- and
- a conical gas guide section positioned along the middle axis and connected to the gas guide tube, the conical gas guide section having a tip positioned adjacent to the end face of the inlet nozzle,
- wherein the conical gas guide section is configured to redirect the gas exiting the inlet nozzle radially outward toward the inner side of the liner forming a gas stream,
- wherein the gas stream is directed through the at least one gas guide canal, and along the inner side of the liner parallel to the middle axis, during a filling of the receiving area with the gas to release extracted heat to the surroundings through the wall as a heat exchanger.
