Long stroke parallel pump

A fluid pump system comprising:

• a drive shaft extending along a longitudinal axis and supplying rotation about the longitudinal axis;
• a gear system operably coupled to the drive shaft for changing the orientation of the rotation supplied by the drive shaft;
• and
• a slider-crank mechanism, comprising:
• a rotating member assembly mechanically coupled to and driven by the gear system, the rotating member assembly comprising at least three split gears having respective rotational axes offset laterally from one another and generally orthogonal to the longitudinal axis, wherein the rotating member assembly is driven by a pinion gear of the gear system, wherein the pinion gear is configured to mesh with both the upper and lower gears of at least one of the at least three split gears,
• a sliding member assembly mechanically coupled to the rotating member assembly and extending away from the drive shaft, the sliding member assembly including at least three sliding members, wherein respective ones of the at least three split gears are configured to drive corresponding respective ones of the at least three sliding members, wherein the rotating member assembly is configured to drive reciprocating motion of the sliding member assembly to alternately draw fluid in and discharge the fluid;
• and
• a connecting rod assembly mechanically coupling the rotating member assembly to the sliding member assembly, the connecting rod assembly including at least three connecting rods, the at least three connecting rods mechanically coupling respective split gears of the rotating member assembly to respective sliding members of the sliding member assembly.
