Abstract
A process is provided for making a WEE1 inhibitor of the formula (1A) useful in the treatment of conditions characterized by excessive cellular proliferation, such as cancer. In some embodiments, processes are provided for making intermediate compounds of the formulae (3), (5) and (6) as defined herein.

A compound of the following formula (3):
- wherein formula (3) is a crystalline solid characterized by peaks in an X-ray powder diffraction pattern, wherein the peaks are about 8.6 degrees 2θ±0.2 degrees 2θ, about 11.5 degrees 2θ±0.2 degrees 2θ, about 17.3 degrees 2θ±0.2 degrees 2θ, and about 23.2 degrees 2θ±0.2 degrees 26.
