Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to devices and methods for transporting and storing food items, and more specifically relate to storage totes with a top panel for use in delivering temperature-controlled items such as perishable food. Embodiments of the storage tote and top panel include top panels comprising a slide lid, a foldable lid, a detachable lid, a flip lid, or combinations thereof.
Claims18
A container comprising:
- a base comprising a plurality of panels cooperatively assembled to define an interior cavity accessible via an opening, the plurality of panels comprising at least a base panel, a front panel opposing a rear panel, and a pair of opposing side panels;
- a top panel movable between a closed position in which the top panel obstructs the opening and one or more open positions in which the top panel does not obstruct the opening;
- wherein the container is configured to fold into a collapsed configuration by moving the top panel into a first open position of the one or more open positions, folding at least a central portion of each of the front panel and the rear panel into the interior cavity along one or more fold lines disposed thereon, and folding at least a top portion of each of the pair of opposing side panels inward;
- and
- a pocket configured to secure the top panel in at least a second open position of the one or more open positions.
