Abstract
A shipping and dispensing construct for engaging a plurality of product holding containers. The shipping and dispensing construct can comprise a plurality of panels comprising at least a front panel, a first side panel, a back panel, and a second side panel. Attachment features can be for attaching the shipping and dispensing construct to the plurality of product holding container. The attachment features can be in one or more panels of the plurality of panels. Dispensing features can be for removal of respective product holding containers of the plurality of product holding containers from the shipping and dispensing construct. The dispensing features can be in one or more panels of the plurality of panels.
Claims17
A shipping and dispensing construct for a plurality of product holding containers, the shipping and dispensing construct comprising:
- a plurality of panels defining an interior of the shipping and dispensing construct, the plurality of panels comprising a front panel, a first side panel, a back panel, and a second side panel, wherein the plurality of product holding containers are positioned within the interior;
- wherein the back panel includes a tear strip defined between two strip lines of weakening;
- wherein the back panel includes a plurality of attachment tabs positioned between the two strip lines of weakening and attached to the tear strip with respective tab lines of weakening, wherein each attachment tab is secured to a respective product holding container of the plurality of product holding containers;
- wherein the shipping and dispensing construct is arranged to be converted from a shipping configuration to a dispensing configuration via at least partial removal of the tear strip from the back panel;
- wherein in the shipping configuration, the tear strip secures the plurality of product holding containers within the interior of the shipping and dispensing construct by coupling each of the plurality of product holding containers to the back panel;
- and
- wherein in the dispensing configuration, the tear strip is detached from at least one attachment tab of the plurality of tabs by at least partially removing the tear strip from the back panel along the two strip lines of weakening, the at least partial removal of the tear strip decoupling at least one of the plurality of product holding containers from the back panel and exposing the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers between the strip lines of weakening such that the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers is removable from the interior,
- the plurality of panels define a sleeve having a first open end defining a top of the shipping and dispensing construct and a second open end defining a bottom of the shipping and dispensing construct, the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers is removable from the interior via the first open end when the tear strip is detached from the at least one of the plurality of attachment tabs.
A blank for forming a shipping and dispensing construct for a plurality of product holding containers, the blank comprising:
- a plurality of panels including a front panel, a first side panel, a back panel, and a second side panel arranged to define an interior of the shipping and dispensing construct;
- wherein the back panel includes a tear strip defined between two strip lines of weakening;
- wherein the back panel includes a plurality of attachment tabs positioned between the two strip lines of weakening and attached to the tear strip with respective tab lines of weakening, wherein each attachment tab is secured to a respective product holding container of the plurality of product holding containers;
- wherein the shipping and dispensing construct is arranged to be converted from a shipping configuration to a dispensing configuration via at least partial removal of the tear strip from the back panel;
- wherein in the shipping configuration, the tear strip secures the plurality of product holding containers within the interior of the shipping by coupling each of the plurality of product holding containers to the back panel;
- and
- wherein in the dispensing configuration, the tear strip is detached from at least one of the plurality of attachment stab by at least partially removing the tear strip from the back panel along the two strip lines of weakening, the at least partial removal of the tear strip decoupling at least one of the plurality of product holding containers from the back panel and exposing the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers between the two strip lines of weakening such that the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers is removable from the interior,
- the plurality of panels are for defining a sleeve having a first open end defining a top of the shipping and dispensing construct formed from the blank and a second open end defining a bottom of the shipping and dispensing construct formed from the blank, the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers is removable from the interior via the first open end when the tear strip is detached from the at least one of the plurality of attachment tabs.
A package comprising:
- a shipping and dispensing construct that has a shipping configuration and a dispensing configuration, the construct comprising a plurality of panels including a front panel, a first side panel, a back panel, and a second side panel, wherein the front panel and the back panel are each connected to the first side panel and the second side panel, defining an interior;
- and
- a plurality of product holding containers disposed in the interior;
- wherein when in a shipping configuration:
- the back panel includes a tear strip defined between two strip lines of weakening;
- and
- the tear strip includes a plurality of attachment tabs defined within respective tab lines of weakening, wherein each attachment tab is attached to a respective product holding container of the plurality of product holding containers;
- wherein when in a dispensing configuration:
- the tear strip is detached from at least one of the plurality of attachment tabs while simultaneously at least partially removing the tear strip from the back panel along the two strip lines of weakening, the at least partial removal of the tear strip decoupling at least one of the plurality of product holding containers from the back panel and exposing the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers between the two strip lines of weakening such that the at least one product holding container is removable from the interior,
- the plurality of panels define a sleeve having a first open end defining a top of the shipping and dispensing construct and a second open end defining a bottom of the shipping and dispensing construct, the at least one of the plurality of product holding containers is removable from the interior via the first open end when the tear strip is detached from the at least one of the plurality of attachment tabs.
