Abstract
A blade is provided in which the specific rigidity of a flap part is further increased. This blade has a thick body part and a thin flap part integrally formed in the rear end of the body part. The flap part has a skin material containing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin, and a core material containing a thermoplastic resin foam filled inside the skin material.
Claims7
A blade, comprising:
- a main body portion;
- and a blade trailing edge that is thinner than the main body portion and integrally formed with a rear end of the main body portion, wherein
- the blade trailing edge includes a skin material and a core material, the skin material containing a polypropylene that is fiber-reinforced, the core material containing a foam of a polypropylene filling an inside of the skin material,
- the skin material comprises an upper skin material and a lower skin material, wherein the core material is held by the upper skin material and the lower skin material, and
- front ends of the upper skin material and the lower skin material are wrapped around a front corner of the core material.
A method for producing a blade, the blade including a main body portion and a blade trailing edge that is thinner than the main body portion and integrally formed with a rear end of the main body portion, the method comprising:
- preparing a polypropylene foam and a fiber-reinforced polypropylene configured to hold the polypropylene foam from a top and a bottom of the polypropylene foam;
- wherein in the preparing, the prepared fiber-reinforced polypropylene has a shape such that the fiber-reinforced polypropylene extends and becomes larger at a front of the main body portion;
- and
- forming the blade including the blade trailing edge by hot-pressing the polypropylene foam and the fiber-reinforced polypropylene, wherein the blade trailing edge of the formed blade includes a skin material and a core material, the skin material containing the fiber-reinforced polypropylene, the core material containing the polypropylene foam filling an inside of the skin material,
- wherein in the forming, the hot-pressing is performed after a front of the extending fiber-reinforced polypropylene is wrapped around a front corner of the polypropylene foam and
- wherein in the forming, a surplus of the polypropylene foam is discharged through a rear end of the blade trailing edge, the polypropylene foam being caused to flow by the hot-pressing.
