Abstract
The disclosure generally includes systems and methods of generating a preferred personalized adaptive cruise control (P-ACC) mode of operation. The method includes capturing vehicle data using one or more internal and external vehicle sensors, and adjusting one or more P-ACC mode of operation parameters, based on captured vehicle data, before operation of the P-ACC mode of operation. Vehicle data includes internal vehicle data comprising a type of passenger and number of passengers in the vehicle.
Claims7
A system comprising:
- at least one processor configured to execute machine-executable instructions to:
- capture in-cabin data of a vehicle to determine a first set of one or more passengers are present in the vehicle;
- responsive to determining the first set of one or more passengers are present in the vehicle, capture one or more manual interventions by a driver of the vehicle during operation of personalized adaptive cruise control (P-ACC) in the vehicle when the first set of one or more passengers are present in the vehicle;
- capture traffic conditions data when the first set of one or more passengers are present in the vehicle, wherein the traffic conditions data comprises proximity data of surrounding vehicles to the vehicle;
- based on the captured one or more manual interventions, learn a first P-ACC preference of the driver associated with presence of the first set of one or more passengers in the vehicle;
- and
- adjust one or more operational parameters of the P-ACC based on the learned first P-ACC preference of the driver, wherein adjusting the one or more operational parameters of the P-ACC is further based on the captured traffic conditions data.
