Vehicle

A vehicle previously used by a first user who previously exited the vehicle and for performing autonomous driving for a second user, comprising:

• a first memory configured to store first-user, authentication reference information;
• a wireless communicator configured to communicate with a device of the first user who previously exited the vehicle;
• a processor configured to
• obtain initial would-be-user authentication information in response to entry of a would-be user into the vehicle, and
• confirm that the would-be user entering the vehicle is the first user who previously exited the vehicle by performing an initial would-be-user authentication based on the obtained initial would-be-user authentication information and the first-user, authentication reference information stored in the first memory, the initial would-be-user authentication succeeding or failing, depending on the obtained initial would-be-user authentication information;
• and
• a second memory configured to store first-user device, wireless-connection information in response to failure of the initial would-be-user authentication, wherein
• the processor is also configured to send to the device of the first user who previously exited the vehicle via the wireless communicator using the stored connection information, in response to the failure of the initial would-be-user authentication,
• a would-be-user authentication request, and
• subsequent would-be-user authentication information,
• the processor is also configured to authenticate the would-be user in a subsequent would-be-user authentication in response to receiving permission to authenticate the would-be user from the first user who previously exited the vehicle via the wireless communicator after sending the would-be-user authentication request and the subsequent would-be-user authentication information to the first user,
• the processor is further configured to actuate would-be-user operation of the vehicle in response to successful initial would-be-user authentication or successful subsequent would-be-user authentication by the processor, and
• the vehicle moves to a specified location in response to receiving a move-the-vehicle-to-the-specified-location instruction and confirming would-be-user exit from the vehicle.

A vehicle owned by an owner and previously used by a first user who previously exited the vehicle and for performing autonomous driving for a second user, comprising:

• a first memory configured to store second-user, authentication reference information;
• a wireless communicator configured to communicate with a device of the owner of the vehicle or with a device of the first user who previously exited the vehicle;
• a processor configured to
• obtain initial second-user authentication information in response to entry of the second user into the vehicle, and
• perform an initial second-user authentication based on the obtained initial second-user authentication information and the second-user, authentication reference information stored in the first memory, the initial second-user authentication succeeding or failing, depending on the obtained initial second-user authentication information;
• and
• a second memory configured to store owner-device or first-user device, wireless-connection information in response to failure of the initial second-user authentication, wherein
• the processor is also configured to send to the owner's device or the first user's device via the wireless communicator using the stored connection information, in response to the failure of the initial second-user authentication,
• a second-user authentication request, and
• subsequent second-user authentication information,
• the processor is also configured to authenticate the second user in a subsequent second-user authentication in response to receiving permission to authenticate the second user from the owner or the first user via the wireless communicator after sending the second-user authentication request and the subsequent second-user authentication information,
• the processor is also configured to fail to authenticate the second user in the subsequent second-user authentication in response to failing to receive the permission to authenticate the second user from the owner or the first user,
• the processor is further configured to instruct the vehicle to move to a specified location in response to an instruction received through the wireless communicator,
• the processor is also configured to send, through the wireless communicator, to the owner's device or the first user's device, a move-the-vehicle-to-the-specified-location instruction request in response to failure of both the initial second-user authentication and the subsequent second-user authentication, and
• the vehicle moves to the specified location in response to receiving the move-the-vehicle-to-the-specified-location instruction and confirming second-user exit from the vehicle.
