BCMA chimeric antigen receptors

A chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) comprising:

• a) an extracellular domain comprising an anti-BCMA (B cell maturation antigen) antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof that binds one or more epitopes of a human BCMA polypeptide comprising variable light chain CDRL1, CDRL2, and CDRL3 regions within a variable light chain amino acid sequence and variable heavy chain CDRH1, CDRH2, and CDRH3 regions within a variable heavy chain amino acid sequence as set forth in any one of:

• b) a transmembrane domain;
