Abstract
Provided herein are methods of treating or preventing a fungal colonisation or infection in a subject. The method includes administering a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a therapeutically acceptable salt thereof, to the subject, wherein the fungal colonisation or infection is caused by a fungal agent. In certain embodiments, the compound is a compound of Formula I, or a stereoisomer, tautomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or prodrug thereof:
Claims26
A method of treating a fungal colonisation or infection caused by a fungal agent in a subject, the method comprising the step of:
- administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula VIII, a stereoisomer, tautomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or prodrug thereof:
- wherein R30, R34, R35, and R39 are H;
- wherein R31 and R38 are H or OH;
- wherein R32 is OH, Cl, Br, F, or R32 and R33 are bonded together to form a quinoline-6;
- wherein R37 is OH, Cl, Br, F, or R37 and R36 are bonded together to form a quinoline-6;
- wherein R33 and R36 are H, OH, or F;
- and
- wherein R40 and R41 are H or methyl.
A method of treating a fungal colonization or infection caused by a fungal plant in a subject, the method comprising the step of:
- administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a stereoisomer, tautomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or prodrug thereof, wherein the compound is selected from:
- NCL021;
- NCL062;
- NCL097;
- NCL123;
- NCL134;
- NCL282;
- and NCL812.
A method of reducing the risk of a fungal colonisation or infection caused by a fungal agent in a subject, the method comprising the step of:
- administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula VIII, a stereoisomer, tautomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or prodrug thereof:
- wherein R30, R34, R35, and R39 are H;
- wherein R31 and R38 are H or OH;
- wherein R32 is OH, Cl, Br, F, or R32 and R33 are bonded together to form a quinoline-6;
- wherein R37 is OH, Cl, Br, F, or R37 and R36 are bonded together to form a quinoline-6;
- wherein R33 and R36 are H, OH, or F;
- and
- wherein R40 and R41 are H or methyl.
A method of reducing the risk of a fungal colonization or infection caused by a fungal plant in a subject, the method comprising the step of:
- administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound, or a stereoisomer, tautomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or prodrug thereof, wherein the compound is selected from:
- NCL021;
- NCL062;
- NCL097;
- NCL123;
- NCL134;
- NCL282;
- and NCL812.
