Abstract
The present technology is directed to methods of treatment utilizing inhibitors of HuR interaction with RNA, where the inhibitors are of Formula I where R1 is; and X1 is OH, NH—OH, or 0-(C1-C8 unsubstituted alkyl).
Claims14
A method comprising administering an effective amount of a compound of Formula I
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a subject suffering from a hyperproliferative disease with HuR overexpression, wherein
- R1 is
- and
- X1 is OH, NH—OH, or O—(C1-C8 unsubstituted alkyl),
- the hyperproliferative disease with HuR overexpression is a colon cancer, a prostate cancer, a breast cancer, a brain cancer, an ovarian cancer, or a pancreatic cancer;
- and
- the effective amount is an amount effective to treat the hyperproliferative disease with HuR overexpression.
4 more elements
A pharmaceutical composition, the pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount for treating a hyperproliferative disease with HuR overexpression of a compound of Formula I
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein
- R1 is
- and
- X1 is OH, NH—OH, or O—(C1-C8 unsubstituted alkyl), wherein the hyperproliferative disease with HuR overexpression is a colon cancer, a prostate cancer, a breast cancer, a brain cancer, an ovarian cancer, or a pancreatic cancer.
