Sleep monitoring device

An intraoral sleep monitoring system comprising:

• an intraoral sleep monitoring device comprising:
• an intraoral frame conforming in shape to an interior of a mouth of a user and configured to be removably attached to a dental arch of the mouth;
• and
• an intraoral network interface module;
• a wristband, configured to wirelessly communicate with the intraoral network interface module, comprising:
• a wristband frame configured to be removably attached to a wrist of the user;
• one or more electronics-compatible substrate comprising:
• at least one intraoral substrate supported by the intraoral frame;
• and
• at least one wristband substrate supported by the wristband frame;
• one or more measurement device, mounted on the one or more electronics-compatible substrate, comprising:
• a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor mounted on the intraoral substrate and configured to generate a PPG signal in real time from within the mouth;
• and
• an accelerometer and/or gyroscope sensor, mounted on the wristband substrate and configured to generate movement data of the user in real time;
• and
• a processor connected with the photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor and configured to:
• receive the movement data from the accelerometer and/or gyroscope sensor and the PPG signal from the PPG sensor;
• and
• process the PPG signal in real time by filtering out movement-related artifacts based on the movement data, thereby producing a filtered PPG signal;
• and
• a memory module connected with the processor and configured to:
• record dynamic data comprising the filtered PPG signal.
