Orthosis for clubfoot (CTEV) correction and maintenance based on Ponsiti method

An orthosis configured for clubfoot (CTEV) correction and maintenance based on a manipulative casting method comprising, a metatarsal top link (1), a metatarsal bottom link (2) and a pitch and yaw link (3) connected together by an actuator A1 (13) with the pitch and yaw link (3) placed between the metatarsal top link (1) and the metatarsal bottom link (2), wherein the metatarsal top link (1) and the metatarsal bottom link (2) are each provided with a pair of strap slots (1b, 2b) allowing a passage of a forefoot strap through the pair of strap slots (1b, 2b) such that the forefoot strap is configured to hold a baby foot;

• the pitch and yaw link (3) is connected to a forefoot roll link (4);
• the forefoot roll link (4) is connected to a hind foot assembly comprising a hind foot bottom base (5) and a hind foot top base (6) configured to execute a rolling motion of a forefoot;
• a yaw guide base (7) has a rotating joint with the hind foot top base (6) configured to provide a rolling motion of a hind foot through an actuator A4 (16);
• the yaw guide base (7) slides on a hind foot yaw link (8) and is configured to provide a yawing motion of the hind foot through the actuator A4 (16);
• the hind foot yaw link (8) is suspended on a pair of calf support links (9) on a first side and a second side of the hind foot yaw link (8);
• a calf muscle support (10) attached to the pair of calf support links (9) and configured to support the calf muscle.
