Implants with modular stems with tension/compression mechanisms

An ankle prosthesis, comprising:

• a tibia stem component comprising a leading end, a trailing end, and a longitudinal axis defined therethrough, wherein the tibia stem component comprises:
• a first component having a first body extending from a first end to a second end, the second end of the first component defining a first opening that extends inwardly toward the first end of the first component, the first opening including a first portion having a first diameter, a second portion having a second diameter that is different from the first diameter, and a third portion;
• a second component having a second body extending from a first end to a second end, the first end of the second body including a conical tapered region extending from a shoulder of the second body, the conical tapered region sized and configured to be at least partially received in the first portion of the first opening, the second body defining a second opening that extends through the second body from the first end of the second body to the second end of the second body;
• and
• a coupling member configured to couple the first component and the second component by compressing the first component and the second component, the coupling member including a tensioning wire comprising a head portion and a flexible shaft portion, the head portion sized and configured to be received within the third portion of the first opening, and a collet defining a third opening and including a plurality of flexible arms, the third opening sized and configured to receive the flexible shaft portion of the tensioning wire.
