An arthroplasty stem includes one or more integrated or sleeved threaded bosses within a metallic stem body and at least one oblique ramped (“Walker”) compression aperture. Rotation of a screw within the aperture converts rotational motion into controlled axial compression between the stem and an attached fixation plate or adapter. The threaded bosses, either machined directly into the stem or positioned within dielectric-lined sleeves, enable secure fixation without drilling through the stem wall. The invention combines threaded bosses that retain and sustain load with Walker-type ramped apertures that actively generate compression within an arthroplasty stem, creating a self-contained dynamic and static fixation system adaptable to multiple joint reconstruction applications.
