Hydraulic contrast lift system protocol

An apparatus for maxillary sinus mucosa dissection and elevation, in humans or in animals, that lifts said mucosa away from the maxillary bone by injecting a fluid through an osteotomy or a hole in the maxillary bone to create an artificial space between said mucosa and the maxilla, comprising:

• a plurality of interchangeable retentive ends that provide retention for an injection stent within the osteotomy and seal it from the oral environment;
• a hollow regular injection stent that allows for flow of a contrast medium towards the maxillary sinus mucosa while supporting one of the plurality of retentive end to prevent its bending and that can be connected to a syringe through a tube;
• a hollow expanding injection stent that can be used interchangeably with the hollow regular injection stent and has the same function as said hollow regular injection stent plus allowing an operator to control an amount of retention into the osteotomy by expanding one of the plurality of retentive ends from within, this hollow expanding injection stent can also be connected to a syringe through a tube;
• a click syringe acting as a fluid source that can both inject and suction the fluid and with a plunger that clicks against a barrel with predetermined volume of fluid injected or suctioned and wherein a tip is connectable to a tube;
• a tube;
• a plurality of regular conical plugs that have a similar external shape to that of the retentive ends and serve to plug one or more osteotomy sites at a time to allow for sinus lift on the same side of the maxilla through multiple osteotomies;
• and
• a plurality of expanding plugs that have a similar external shape to that of the retentive ends and have the same function as the regular conical plugs plus allowing the operator to control the amount of retention into the osteotomy by expanding the conical plug from within.
