Abstract
A method includes providing a boundary defining a portion of a bone to be resected, determining a position of a tracked probe, obtaining a customized boundary by changing a shape of the boundary based on the position of the tracked probe, and guiding operation of a cutting tool in an area defined by the customized boundary.

A method, comprising:
- providing, based on a planned implant position, a boundary defining a portion of a bone to be resected;
- determining a position of a tracked probe;
- obtaining a customized boundary by changing a shape of the boundary based on the position of the tracked probe without affecting the planned implant position;
- and
- guiding operation of a cutting tool in an area defined by the customized boundary.
