Abstract
A medical device, comprising a handle, wherein the handle includes a movable body and a stationary body; an end cap, the end cap comprising an inner cap and an outer cap, wherein the inner cap is coupled to the movable body by a control element such that movement of the movable body relative to the stationary body extends the inner cap relative to the outer cap; and a patch disposed between the inner cap and the outer cap such that movement of the inner cap relative to the outer cap at least partially deploys the patch.
Claims20
A medical device, comprising:
- a handle, wherein the handle includes a movable body and a stationary body;
- an end cap, the end cap comprising an inner cap and an outer cap, wherein the inner cap is coupled to the movable body by a control element such that movement of the movable body relative to the stationary body extends the inner cap relative to the outer cap;
- and
- a patch disposed between the inner cap and the outer cap such that movement of the inner cap relative to the outer cap at least partially deploys the patch,
- wherein the inner cap includes a proximal wall and a distal wall extending radially outward from the inner cap, wherein, in a first configuration, an outer edge of the distal wall of the inner cap abuts an inner edge of the outer cap, and, wherein, in a second configuration, the outer edge of the distal wall of the inner cap is distal to the inner edge of the outer cap.
A medical device, comprising:
- an end cap, the end cap comprising an inner cap and an outer cap, wherein the inner cap includes a lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end of the inner cap;
- an expandable structure, the expandable structure partially surrounding a portion of the inner cap;
- and
- a patch positioned around the expandable structure;
- wherein, in a first configuration, the inner cap is disposed within the outer cap and the patch is disposed between the portion of the inner cap and a portion of the outer cap, and, in a second configuration, at least a distal portion of the inner cap is distal to the outer cap and the patch is released.
A medical device, comprising:
- a handle, wherein the handle includes a movable body and a stationary body;
- and
- an end cap, the end cap comprising:
- an outer cap;
- and
- an inner cap movable relative to the outer cap via movement of the movable body relative to the stationary body, the inner cap including:
- a proximal wall;
- a distal wall;
- an intermediate portion disposed therebetween, wherein each of the proximal wall and the distal wall extend radially outward relative to the intermediate portion, and wherein an outer edge of the distal wall of the inner cap is complementary to an inner edge of the outer cap;
- and
- a support structure extending around a radially external surface of the intermediate portion, and
- wherein, in a first configuration, a patch is disposed between the intermediate portion of the inner cap and the outer cap, and wherein, in a second configuration, (1) the inner cap is moved relative to the outer cap, and (2) the patch is released from the intermediate portion of the inner cap.
