Abstract
Methods and Devices to monitor the level of at least one analyte are provided.
Claims14
A method of glucose monitoring, comprising:
- periodically receiving, via wireless communication and by a software on a remote receiving device, glucose level information from a data processing unit over a period of time, wherein the glucose level information is based on a signal generated by a glucose sensor having a distal portion configured to extend beneath a user's skin surface to be in contact with bodily fluid, the signal corresponding to a glucose concentration of the bodily fluid, and wherein the remote receiving device comprises a user interface comprising a touch-sensitive display;
- determining, by the software on the remote receiving device, a frequency of user interaction with the remote receiving device over the time period based on user operation of the user interface;
- displaying an output on the touch-sensitive display corresponding to the frequency of user interaction.
A glucose monitoring system, comprising:
- a glucose sensor having a distal portion configured to extend beneath a user's skin surface to be in contact with bodily fluid and to generate a signal corresponding to a glucose concentration of the bodily fluid;
- a data processing unit operatively coupled to the glucose sensor and configured to receive the signal corresponding to the glucose concentration of the bodily fluid;
- a remote receiving device, wherein the remote receiving device comprises a user interface comprising a touch-sensitive display and the is configured to:
- periodically receive a glucose level information from the data processing unit over a period of time via wireless communication, wherein the glucose level information is based on the signal corresponding to the glucose concentration of the bodily fluid;
- determine a frequency of user interaction with the remote receiving device over the time period based on user operation of the user interface;
- display an output on the touch-sensitive display corresponding to the frequency of user interaction.
