Abstract
A coating composition contains a bacteriophage having a bactericidal activity against Salmonella bacteria, a polymeric compound, and a plasticizer. Thus, a coating having antibacterial activity may be prepared by using the coating composition, and the bacteriophage stably survives even after coating formation to continuously maintain excellent antibacterial activity. When the coating composition is applied to a coating or film for food packaging, it may effectively prevent food from being contaminated by Salmonella bacteria to improve food safety and shelf life.

A coating composition comprising a bacteriophage having a bactericidal activity against Salmonella spp. bacteria, a polymeric compound, and a plasticizer, wherein the bacteriophage is a bacteriophage deposited at the Korean Collection for Type Culture (KCTC) under accession no. KCTC14929BP, having a bactericidal activity against Salmonella spp. bacteria.
An antibacterial film prepared using a coating composition comprising a bacteriophage having a bactericidal activity against Salmonella spp. bacteria, a polymeric compound, and a plasticizer,
- wherein the bacteriophage is a bacteriophage deposited at the Korean Collection for Type Culture (KCTC) under accession no. KCTC14929BP, having a bactericidal activity against Salmonella spp. bacteria.
An antibacterial composition comprising a bacteriophage deposited at the Korean Collection for Type Culture (KCTC) under accession no. KCTC14929BP, having a bactericidal activity specifically against Salmonella spp. bacteria, a polymeric compound, and a plasticizer,
- wherein the polymeric compound is in an amount of 5 to 20 g/100 mL based on a total volume of the antibacterial composition;
- and
- wherein the plasticizer is in an amount of 1 to 5 g/100 mL based on the total volume of the antibacterial composition.
