Abstract
The present disclosure relates to mobility management methods and apparatuses. In an example method, a first network device sends conditional handover configuration information of a terminal device to a second network device. After obtaining a mobility report, the first network device sends a first message to the second network device to request the conditional handover configuration information of the terminal device. The first network device receives a response message of the first message from the second network device.
Claims20
A mobility management method, comprising:
- receiving, by a first network device, a conditional handover success message from a second network device, wherein the second network device is a network device of a target cell, and the target cell belongs to a conditional handover candidate cell configured by the first network device for a terminal device;
- and
- after receiving the conditional handover success message sending, by the first network device, conditional handover configuration information to the second network device, wherein the conditional handover configuration information indicates identification information of the conditional handover candidate cell and one or more corresponding handover triggering conditions.
A mobility management method, comprising:
- sending, by a second network device, a conditional handover success message to a first network device, wherein the second network device is a network device of a target cell, and the target cell belongs to a conditional handover candidate cell configured by the first network device for a terminal device;
- and
- after sending the conditional handover success message, receiving, by the second network device, conditional handover configuration information of the terminal device from the first network device, wherein the conditional handover configuration information indicates identification information of the conditional handover candidate cell and one or more corresponding handover triggering conditions.
A communication system, comprising:
- a first network device;
- and
- a second network device, wherein the first network device is configured to receive a conditional handover success message from the second network device and after receiving the conditional handover success message, send conditional handover configuration information to the second network device, wherein the conditional handover configuration information indicates identification information of a conditional handover candidate cell and one or more corresponding handover triggering conditions, wherein the second network device is a network device of a target cell, and wherein the target cell belongs to the conditional handover candidate cell configured by the first network device for a terminal device.
