Abstract
A wireless device transmits a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating a data volume comprising a radio link control (RLC) data volume of an RLC data unit. The RLC data volume is based on: a discard timer, of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit associated with the RLC data unit, being running; and a remaining time value, of the discard timer, being less than a threshold.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- determining, by a wireless device, that a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit is a delay-critical PDCP data unit, based on:
- a discard timer, of the PDCP data unit, being running;
- and
- a remaining time value, of the discard timer, being less than a threshold;
- determining that a radio link control (RLC) data unit is a delay-critical RLC data unit, based on:
- the RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit;
- and
- the PDCP data unit being the delay-critical PDCP data unit;
- determining, based on the RLC data unit being the delay-critical RLC data unit, that an RLC data volume comprises an amount of the RLC data unit;
- and
- transmitting, by the wireless device, a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating a data volume comprising the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.
A wireless device, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
- determine that a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit is a delay-critical PDCP data unit, based on:
- a discard timer, of the PDCP data unit, being running;
- and
- a remaining time value, of the discard timer, being less than a threshold;
- determine that a radio link control (RLC) data unit is a delay-critical RLC data unit, based on:
- the RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit;
- and
- the PDCP data unit being the delay-critical PDCP data unit;
- determine, based on the RLC data unit being the delay-critical RLC data unit, that an RLC data volume comprises an amount of the RLC data unit;
- and
- transmit a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating a data volume comprising the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device, cause the wireless device to:
- determine that a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit is a delay-critical PDCP data unit, based on:
- a discard timer, of the PDCP data unit, being running;
- and
- a remaining time value, of the discard timer, being less than a threshold;
- determine that a radio link control (RLC) data unit is a delay-critical RLC data unit, based on:
- the RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit;
- and
- the PDCP data unit being the delay-critical PDCP data unit;
- determine, based on the RLC data unit being the delay-critical RLC data unit, that an RLC data volume comprises an amount of the RLC data unit;
- and
- transmit a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating a data volume comprising the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.
