Abstract
Disclosed herein is a method for determining network parameters. The method includes receiving factory equipment traffic information, unlicensed frequency characteristic information, and factory equipment characteristic information and determining network parameters by taking into account at least one of the factory equipment traffic information, the unlicensed frequency characteristic information, or the factory equipment characteristic information, or a combination thereof, and the network parameters may include at least one of channel access parameters, unlicensed bands/channels, or client grouping, or a combination thereof.
Claims14
A method for configuring a wireless network, comprising:
- receiving at least one of information about functions supported by an Access Point (AP), factory equipment information, or information about an installation location in a factory, or a combination thereof;
- configuring an initial network based on at least one of the information about the functions supported by the AP, the factory equipment information, or the information about the installation location in the factory, or a combination thereof;
- and
- transmitting information about a configuration of the initial network to the AP,
- wherein, as part of configuring the initial network, the AP configures an operation channel and channel access parameters based on the information about the configuration of the initial network, and using a beacon, the AP transfers information to a client that intends to access the AP.
An apparatus for configuring a wireless network, comprising:
- memory in which a control program for configuring a wireless network is stored;
- and
- a processor for executing the control program stored in the memory,
- wherein the processor receives at least one of information about functions supported by an Access Point (AP), factory equipment information, or information about an installation location in a factory, or a combination thereof, configures an initial network based on at least one the information about the functions supported by the AP, the factory equipment information, or the information about the installation location in the factory, or a combination thereof, and transmits information about a configuration of the initial network to the AP, and
- wherein, as part of configuring the initial network, the AP configures an operation channel and channel access parameters based on the information about the configuration of the initial network, and using a beacon, the AP transfers information to a client that intends to access the AP.
