Abstract
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing optimization of network resources. The system is operable to monitor the electromagnetic environment, analyze the electromagnetic environment, and extract environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment. The system extracts the environmental awareness of the electromagnetic environment by including customer goals. The system is operable to use the environmental awareness with the customer goals and/or user defined policies and rules to extract actionable information to help the customer optimize the network resources.
Claims20
A system for spectrum utilization management in a wireless network comprising:
- a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) layer in a wireless network;
- a wireless network resource optimization application in the MEC layer;
- and
- a radio access network (RAN);
- wherein the MEC layer is in communication with the RAN;
- wherein the wireless network resource optimization application is configured to receive signal data for signals in a radiofrequency environment;
- wherein the signal data is represented in a vector ensemble class including a center frequency, bandwidth, an upper frequency component, a lower frequency component, signal-to-noise ratio, and time duration for each signal in the signal data;
- wherein the wireless network resource optimization application is configured to analyze the signal data for possible interactions based on a center frequency and a combination of bandwidth and an upper and lower frequency component of the signals in the signal data;
- wherein the wireless network resource optimization application is configured to create a set by adding the possible interactions to the vector ensemble class;
- wherein the wireless network resource optimization application is configured to create a customer goals index vector containing binary values that represent whether or not a specific piece of the signal data is relevant to satisfying customer goals;
- wherein the wireless network resource optimization application is configured to combine the set with the customer goals index vector to create actionable data;
- and
- wherein the wireless network resource optimization application is configured to utilize the actionable data to optimize physical layer resources for applications hosted in the wireless network.
