Abstract
A technique for enriching user plane traffic in a core network domain of a wireless communication network with sensual content different from audio content and video content is provided. A method of implementing the technique includes detecting user plane traffic that requires an enrichment with sensual content. The method further includes retrieving the sensual content from a database in the core network domain and enriching the user plane traffic with the retrieved sensual content.
Claims16
A method of enriching user plane traffic in a core network domain, CND, of a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
- detecting user plane traffic that requires an enrichment with sensual content different from audio content and video content;
- retrieving the sensual content from a first CND database;
- enriching the user plane traffic with the retrieved sensual content;
- and
- transmitting a capability disclosure message to a content provider domain, the capability disclosure message being indicative of the CND supporting user plane traffic enrichment with sensual content as a service, the capability disclosure message being indicative of at least one of one or more identifiers of one or more sensual types and one or more identifiers of one or more sensual contents supported by the CND.
An apparatus for enriching user plane traffic in a core network domain, CND, of a wireless communication network, the apparatus comprising:
- a processor and a memory coupled to the processor to configure the apparatus to:
- detect user plane traffic that requires an enrichment with sensual content different from audio content and video content;
- retrieve the sensual content from a first CND database;
- enrich the user plane traffic with the retrieved sensual content;
- and
- transmit a capability disclosure message to a content provider domain, the capability disclosure message being indicative of the CND supporting user plane traffic enrichment with sensual content as a service, the capability disclosure message being indicative of at least one of one or more identifiers of one or more sensual types and one or more identifiers of one or more sensual contents supported by the CND.
