Abstract
Generative media content (e.g., generative audio) can be played back across multiple playback devices concurrently. A generative content group coordinator device can receive input parameters, which can include sensor data, media content, or other such input. The coordinator device can generate first and second generative media content streams, each of which can be transmitted to first and second playback devices, respectively. The first and second playback devices can play back the first and second streams of generative media content concurrently.

A first network device comprising:
- a network interface;
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first network device to perform operations comprising:
- receiving an input parameter,
- determining, via a generative AI model, that a task associated with the received input parameter exceeds a computational capacity of the first network device,
- transmitting, via the network interface, a request to one or more second network devices to perform an action associated with the task,
- receiving, via the network interface, a response from at least one of the one or more second network devices, wherein the response corresponds to an action performed by the at least one of the one or more second network devices, and
- causing a set of one or more outputs associated with the received response,
- wherein causing the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response comprises causing synchronous playback of output via a first playback device and a second playback device, and
- wherein the first playback device plays audio content and wherein the second playback device plays video content.
A first network device comprising:
- a network interface;
- one or more processors;
- one or more audio transducers;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first network device to perform operations comprising:
- receiving an input parameter,
- determining, via a generative AI model, that a task associated with the received input parameter exceeds a computational capacity of the first network device,
- transmitting, via the network interface, a request to one or more second network devices to perform an action associated with the task,
- receiving, via the network interface, a response from at least one of the one or more second network devices, wherein the response corresponds to an action performed by the at least one of the one or more second network devices, and
- causing a set of one or more outputs associated with the received response,
- wherein causing the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response comprises causing, via the one or more audio transducers, playback of audio content associated with the received response, and
- wherein the first network device is a first playback device, wherein the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response played back via the one or more audio transducers comprises a first portion of the audio content, and wherein causing the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response comprises causing, via the network interface, playback of a second portion of the audio content via a second playback device in synchrony with playback, via the one or more audio transducers, of the first portion of the audio content.
A first network device comprising:
- a network interface;
- one or more processors, and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first network device to perform operations comprising;
- receiving an input parameter,
- determining, via a generative AI model, that a task associated with the received input parameter exceeds a computational capacity of the first network device,
- transmitting, via the network interface, a request to one or more second network devices to perform an action associated with the task,
- receiving, via the network interface, a response from at least one of the one or more second network devices, wherein the response corresponds to an action performed by the at least one of the one or more second network devices, and
- causing a set of one or more outputs associated with the received response,
- wherein causing the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response comprises causing synchronous playback of output via a first playback device and a second playback device,
- wherein the second playback device comprises one of the one or more second network devices.
A method, performed by a first network device comprising a network interface and one or more processors, the method comprising:
- receiving an input parameter;
- determining, via a generative AI model, that a task associated with the received input parameter exceeds a computational capacity of the first network device;
- transmitting, via the network interface, a request to one or more second network devices to perform an action associated with the task;
- receiving, via the network interface, a response from at least one of the one or more second network devices, wherein the response corresponds to an action performed by the at least one of the one or more second network devices;
- and
- causing a set of one or more outputs associated with the received response,
- wherein causing the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response comprises causing synchronous playback of output via a first playback device and a second playback device, and
- wherein the first playback device plays audio content and wherein the second playback device plays video content.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a first network device comprising a network interface and one or more processors, cause the first network device to perform operations comprising:
- receiving an input parameter;
- determining, via a generative AI model, that a task associated with the received input parameter exceeds a computational capacity of the first network device;
- transmitting, via the network interface, a request to one or more second network devices to perform an action associated with the task;
- receiving, via the network interface, a response from at least one of the one or more second network devices, wherein the response corresponds to an action performed by the at least one of the one or more second network devices;
- and
- causing a set of one or more outputs associated with the received response,
- wherein causing the set of one or more outputs associated with the received response comprises causing synchronous playback of output via a first playback device and a second playback device, and
- wherein the first playback device plays audio content and wherein the second playback device plays video content.
