Image analysis and motion detection using interframe coding

A non-transitory processor-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:

• receive a first video frame having a plurality of pixels and a second video frame having a plurality of pixels, the second video frame being generated subsequent to the first video frame;
• identify an object having pixels from the plurality of pixels in the first video frame organized into a first pixel blob;
• track motion information associated with the object in the first video frame and the second video frame, the second video frame having pixels from the plurality of pixels of the second video frame organized into a second pixel blob that is representative of the object;
• identify a set of macroblocks corresponding to pixels in the second pixel blob in the second video frame;
• and
• code, based on the motion information, the set of macroblocks as at least one of an intra-coded macroblock, a predictive macroblock, or a skipped macroblock to produce a set of coded macroblocks.

A method, comprising:

• receiving a first video frame having a plurality of pixels and a second video frame having a plurality of pixels, the second video frame being generated subsequent to the first video frame;
• identifying an object having pixels from the plurality of pixels of the first video frame organized into a first pixel blob;
• identifying the object having pixels from the plurality of pixels of the second video frame organized into a second pixel blob;
• tracking motion information associated with the object in the first video frame and the second video frame;
• classifying, based on the motion information, the object into a class from a plurality of predefined classes, each class from the plurality of predefined classes being an object type;
• identifying a set of macroblocks of the second pixel blob in the second video frame;
• and
• coding, based on the class, the set of macroblocks as at least one of an intra-coded macroblock, a predictive macroblock, or a skipped macroblock to produce a set of coded macroblocks.
