Abstract
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method by which a UE performs communication. The method may comprise the steps of: transmitting, to an SMF, a PDU session establishment request message; receiving a PDU session establishment accept message; transmitting a PDU session modification request message; and receiving a PDU session modification command message.

A method comprising:
- transmitting, by a user equipment (UE), a session establishment request message to a session management node;
- receiving, by the UE, a session establishment accept message from the session management node;
- transmitting, by the UE, a session modification request message to the session management node;
- and
- receiving, by the UE, a session modification command message from the session management node,
- wherein the session establishment request message is related to a first session,
- wherein the session establishment request message includes information informing that the first session is a multi-path (MP) session,
- wherein the session establishment acceptance message is transmitted over a first path,
- wherein the session modification request message is transmitted over a second path,
- wherein the session modification request message comprises first information related to a second path,
- wherein the first information comprises information related to a path identity (path ID) of the second path,
- wherein the session modification command message comprises second information related to the second path, and
- wherein the second information comprises at least one of information related to a path ID of the second path, or information informing that the second path is a path for a UE-to-Network Relay.

- at least one processor;

- at least one memory storing instructions and operably electrically connectable with the at least one processor,
- wherein operations performed based on the instructions being executed by the at least one processor include:
- transmitting a session establishment request message to a session management node;
- receiving a session establishment accept message for the first PDU session from the session management node;
- transmitting a session modification request message to the session management node;
- and
- receiving a session modification command message for the first session from the session management node,
- wherein the session establishment request message is related to a first PDU session,
- wherein the session establishment request message includes information informing that the first session is a multi-path (MP) session,
- wherein the session establishment acceptance message is transmitted over a first path,
- wherein the session modification request message is transmitted over a second path, and
- wherein the session modification request message comprises first information related to a second path,
- wherein the first information comprises information related to a path identity (path ID) of the second path,
- wherein the session modification command message comprises second information related to the second path, and
- wherein the second information comprises at least one of information related to a path ID of the second path, or information informing that the second path is a path for a UE-to-Network Relay.

- transmitting, by the session management node, an N4 session establishment request message for the first session to a user plane function (UPF);
