Abstract
Method and apparatus for configuring channel characteristics of a reference signal, and a communication device are described. The method includes determining first type signaling, where the first type signaling carries a first type set and the first set includes a plurality of index elements; and sending the first type signaling to a second communication node.

A wireless communication method, comprising:
- transmitting, by a network device to a communication device, a first signal comprising a set of aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets;
- transmitting, by the network device to the communication device, a second signal comprising a number of states,
- wherein each state represents an aperiodic SRS resource set from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets, and
- wherein each state includes a number of SRS resources;
- transmitting, by the network device to the communication device, a third signal comprising an aperiodic SRS resource set from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets;
- wherein the second signal is transmitted in response to a total number of the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets being greater than or equal to a second total number of the number of states plus one.
A wireless communication method, comprising:
- receiving, by a communication device from a network device, a first signal comprising a set of aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets;
- receiving, by the communication device from the network device, a second signal comprising a number of states,
- wherein each state represents an aperiodic SRS resource set from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets, and
- wherein each state includes a number of SRS resources;
- receiving, by the communication device from the network device, a third signal comprising an aperiodic SRS resource sets from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets;
- wherein the second signal is transmitted in response to a total number of the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets being greater than or equal to a second total number of the number of states plus one.
A wireless communication apparatus, comprising a processor configured to implement a method, the processor configured to:
- transmit, by a network device to a communication device, a first signal comprising a set of aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets;
- transmit, by the network device to the communication device, a second signal comprising a number of states,
- wherein each state represents an aperiodic SRS resource set from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets, and
- wherein each state includes a number of SRS resources;
- transmit, by the network device to the communication device, a third signal comprising an aperiodic SRS resource sets from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets;
- wherein the second signal is transmitted in response to a total number of the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets being greater than or equal to a second total number of the number of states plus one.
A wireless communication apparatus, comprising a processor configured to implement a method, the processor configured to:
- receive, by a communication device from a network device, a first signal comprising a set of aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets;
- receive, by the communication device from the network device, a second signal comprising a number of states,
- wherein each state represents an aperiodic SRS resource set from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets, and
- wherein each state includes a number of SRS resources;
- receive, by the communication device from the network device, a third signal comprising an aperiodic SRS resource sets from the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets;
- wherein the second signal is received in response to a total number of the set of aperiodic SRS resource sets being greater than or equal to a second total number of the number of states plus one.
