Abstract
A battery module has a plate-like battery and a case in which the battery is contained. The case includes plane portions sandwiching planar portions of the battery, and a side-surface portion opposing a side surface of the battery and connected with the plane portions with a first side therebetween. The side surface portion of the case has a curving-regulating structure extending from a second side opposite the first side toward the first side.

A battery module comprising:
- a battery that is plate-shaped;
- and
- a case that accommodates the battery therein, wherein
- the case includes a planar portion sandwiching a plate surface portion of the battery, and a side plane portion facing a side surface of the battery and connected to the planar portion via a first side,
- the side plane portion of the case has a curve restriction structure extending from a second side facing the first side toward the first side, and
- the curve restriction structure is a notch provided from the second side toward the first side of the side plane portion.

- the curve restriction structure is a protruding portion protruding from the side plane portion, and
- the protruding portion is formed in a tapered shape such that a width thereof decreases from the second side toward the first side.
