A lithium secondary battery comprising:
- a non-aqueous electrolyte solution comprising a lithium salt, an organic solvent, a first additive represented by Chemical Formula 1A and a second additive represented by Chemical Formula 2;
- a positive electrode comprising a positive electrode active material comprising a lithium composite transition metal oxide having a nickel content of 70 mol % or more among a total transition metal content;
- a negative electrode comprising a negative electrode active material;
- and
- a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode,
- wherein,
- A is —NR3R4, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group having 3 to 5 carbon atoms or a nitrogen-containing heteroaryl group having 3 to 5 carbon atoms,
- R3 and R4 are each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and
- R5 is an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms,
- wherein a content of the first additive is in a range of 0.01 wt % to 5 wt % based on a total weight of the non-aqueous electrolyte solution, and a content of the second additive is in a range of 0.01 wt % to 5 wt % based on the total weight of the non-aqueous electrolyte solution, and
- wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte solution further comprises a third additive selected from vinylene carbonate (VC), fluoro ethylene carbonate (FEC), 1,3-propane sultone (PS), ethylene sulfate (ESa), succinonitrile (SN), lithium tetrafluoroborate (LiBF4), lithium difluoro oxalatoborate (LiDFOB), lithium difluoro phosphate (LiDFP), or a combination thereof, and a content of the third additive is in a range of 0.2 wt % to 2 wt % based on the total weight of the non-aqueous electrolyte solution.
