Method, device, storage medium and program product for playing a video stream

An electronic device, comprising:

• at least one processor and a memory;
• the memory storing computer executable instructions, the at least one processor executing computer executable instructions stored in the memory, so that the at least one processor executes a method comprising:
• detecting whether a playback display state of a video stream is changed;
• in response to the playback display state of the video stream being changed, determining whether a preset definition switching condition is satisfied;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that the preset definition switching condition is satisfied, acquiring the video stream with a switched definition, and playing the video stream with the switched definition.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium, wherein the computer readable storage medium stores computer executable instructions therein, and when a processor executes the computer executable instructions, implementing a method comprising:

• detecting whether a playback display state of a video stream is changed;
• in response to the playback display state of the video stream being changed, determining whether a preset definition switching condition is satisfied;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that the preset definition switching condition is satisfied, acquiring the video stream with a switched definition, and playing the video stream with the switched definition.
