Abstract
Apparatuses (10) for deactivating speakers (12) of wireless tracking devices comprise a body (16) that defines a volume (18) that is configured to at least partially receive the wireless tracking device (14) in a close-fit relationship. The apparatuses (10) further comprise or are configured to receive a piercer (20) that extends into the volume (18) to align with a critical element (22) of a speaker (12) when a wireless tracking device (14) is operatively received in the volume (18). Methods (120) comprise breaking (122) a critical element (22) of a speaker (12) of a wireless tracking device (14).
Claims21
An apparatus (10) for deactivating a speaker (12) of a wireless tracking device (14), the apparatus (10) comprising:
- a body (16) defining a volume (18) configured to at least partially receive the wireless tracking device (14) in a close-fit relationship;
- and
- a piercer (20) operatively coupled to the body (16) and extending into the volume (18) to align with a critical element (22) of the speaker (12) when the wireless tracking device (14) is operatively received in the volume (18).
An apparatus (10) for deactivating a speaker (12) of a wireless tracking device (14), the apparatus (10) comprising:
- a body (16) defining a volume (18) configured to at least partially receive the wireless tracking device (14) in a close-fit relationship, wherein the body (16) defines a passage (24) that is aligned with a critical element (22) of the speaker (12) when the wireless tracking device (14) is operatively received in the volume (18), and wherein the passage (24) is configured to receive a piercer (20) that is configured to slidingly extend through the passage (24) and into the volume (18) to align with the critical element (22) of the speaker (12) when the wireless tracking device (14) is operatively received in the volume (18).
An apparatus (10) for deactivating a speaker (12) of a wireless tracking device (14), the apparatus (10) comprising:
- a body (16) configured to engage the wireless tracking device (14) wherein:
- the body (16) comprises piercing indicia (72) positioned to align with a critical element (22) of the speaker (12) when the body (16) is operatively engaged with the wireless tracking device (14);
- or
- the body (16) defines a passage (24) positioned to align with the critical element (22) of the speaker (12) when the body (16) is operatively engaged with the wireless tracking device (14).
