Display device and method for operating pixels of the display device

A display device comprising:

• a display panel in which a plurality of pixels are disposed;
• a data driver supplying a data voltage to the plurality of pixels;
• a gate driver including a light-emitting control driver, a first scan driver, and a second scan driver;
• and
• a plurality of demultiplexers disposed between the data driver and a display area of the display panel,
• wherein each of the plurality of pixels includes:
• a light-emitting element including an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and a light-emitting layer between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode;
• and
• a pixel circuit configured to control the light-emitting element,
• wherein the pixel circuit includes:
• a capacitor connected to and disposed between a first node and a second node;
• and
• a driving transistor including a gate electrode connected to the second node, a first electrode receiving a driving voltage, and a second electrode connected to a third node,
• a first transistor configured to be turned on by a first scan signal output from the first scan driver and apply the data voltage to the first node;
• a second transistor configured to be turned on by a second scan signal output from the second scan driver and is diode-connected to the driving transistor;
• wherein the plurality of demultiplexers are configured to distribute the data voltage output from one channel of the data driver in a time division manner and supply the data voltage to the plurality of pixels,
• wherein the gate driver includes a plurality of stages,
• wherein the first scan driver includes a plurality of first scan signal generators that output first scan signals to a plurality of first scan lines,
• wherein the second scan driver includes a plurality of second scan signal generators that output second scan signals to a plurality of second scan lines,
• wherein each of the plurality of stages of the gate driver includes (i) a respective one of the plurality of first scan signal generators of the first scan driver and (ii) a respective one of the plurality of second scan signal generators of the second scan driver, and
• wherein the first scan signal and the second scan signal are generated by a first scan signal generator and a second scan signal generator, respectively, in a same stage of the gate driver.
