Abstract
Disclosed herein are systems and/or methods for determining an insurance status for one or more drivers and/or vehicles. The system may identify a driver of a vehicle, such as by facial recognition or a retinal scan. Based on the identification, the system may determine the insurance status of the driver. If there is an issue with the insurance status, the system may prompt the driver to take some action. The system may also institute limitations upon the vehicle if there is an issue with the insurance status. In some instances, the system may determine the insurance status for multiple drivers in the area, and may warn a driver if he or she is in the vicinity of one or more underinsured drivers and/or vehicles.

A system comprising:
- a processor and a memory, the system configured to:
- receive insurance status information corresponding to a plurality of travelers each associated with one of a plurality of vehicles;
- identify one or more travelers of the plurality of travelers that are located proximal a first traveler of the plurality of travelers, the first traveler is associated with a first vehicle of the plurality of vehicles;
- determine, based on aggregating an insurance status of the one or more travelers, that the one or more travelers are underinsured;
- impose at least one driving limitation based on the insurance status information for the first traveler, the at least one driving limitation controlling operation of the first vehicle;
- prompt the first traveler to select at least one remedial action based on the determination that the one or more travelers are underinsured;

- and
- removing the at least one driving limitation based on the selection of the remedial action.
